RELEASABLE SHEAR PIN SUB
Predominantly incorporated into a braided line toolstring, the releasable shear pin sub can be parted by applying an overpull greater than the tensile rating of the shear pin connecting the sub together. The rope socket, upper section of the releasable shear pin sub and the cable can then be retrieved back to surface leaving a clean fish neck to allow for subsequent recovery of the toolstring remaining in hole.
