The system is configured for two phase liquid displacements under unsteady state or steady-state conditions and single phase gas steady-state experiments. It is rated to 5,000 psig confining pressure, 3,500 psig pore pressure at room temperature. The system features automated data acquisition, manual and semi-automated operation via a Windows based graphical interface. On-screen graphics allow the operation of PC controlled valves which control and direct the flowing fluid, operate the pump delivery system for the start/stop of fluid flow and control of the flow rate. Multiple systems can be networked to a master control PC allowing supervisory staff to set safety and operating criteria whilst students maintain control of actual experimental procedures.
