Spring Core Catcher
The Spring Catcher is designed to catch a variety of conventional lithologies from soft and consolidated all the way up to very hard types. The slots around the outer diameter ensure a controlled opening when the core enters the inner barrel without jeopardising the integrity of the core catcher. The spring action also allows close contact with the core at all times thus preventing slippage of the core during the catching process when the barrel is lifted off bottom. The chevron shape prevents distortion of the catcher as it grips the core.
