Core Quick View Service
Reservoir Group Core Quick View provides a visual log representation of the core at wellsite. This can only be achieved thanks to the Reservoir Group Half Moon technology.
Rather than waiting days, weeks or even months in some remote locations for core analysis to be performed, CQV data is made available in both hard and electronic copy within hours of the core being retrieved at surface.
Half Moon enables the inner tube to be immediately and harmlessly opened at wellsite.
With the core exposed, further processing can be performed which will allow the core to be represented in an easy to understand log format. The data presented includes a minimum of:
Rate of Penetration
Spectral Gamma Ray log
White Light Photography
Black Light Photography
At surface, the core is cut in easy to handle three foot sections and placed under the CQV kit where both normal and ultraviolet photos are taken. Once the CQV processing is complete, the core is then packaged, plugged, or preserved based upon geological requirements.
All acquired information is then combined in a continuous electronic log with flexible formats. A hard copy of the log is provided on the rig site and electronic copies are subsequently forwarded to all designated end users. With CQV, all necessary parties are swiftly made aware of the primary core information for further decision making.
