Core Laydown Shuttle
The Core Laydown Shuttle is positioned within the rig floor mouse hole prior to core recovery operations. The separated segments of Inner Barrel Assembly containing core are then quickly and safely placed directly into the shuttle, thus eliminating the need for a man rider to secure the Inner Barrel.
The rigid design of the Shuttle prevents flexing of the Inner Barrel during movement to the core processing area, reducing mechanical handling damage to the core and improving core quality.
The Core Laydown Shuttle has been designed for use with the more traditional 30 ft. Reservoir Group QC Core Barrel Platforms.
