However, we realised that the technology being offered at the time just wasn’t going to be good enough for us to deliver that vision. We had plenty of new ideas and innovative thinking, but the equipment was old tech. We started our own program to start researching & developing the technologies required for Surface Logging to take its place as one of the key disciplines in modern oil and gas exploration. This is one point that separates surface logging from mudlogging.
Now, as part of the global Reservoir Group, we are able to tap into a corporate culture of Research and Development and an R&D budget of many millions of dollars through two R&D labs (Houston, TX, Denver, & Grand Junction, CO). But one thing hasn't changed, and that has been the attitude behind the science. Everything we do is to satisfy the needs of our clients. Which the needs of our clients is to better evaluate their formations and reservoir through our technologies.The future of Surface Logging is being developed by us, right here, right now.
