The Snipper/ Cutting Overshot is a simple Fishing Tool which is used to cut and retrieve Coiled Tubing that has been parted, stuck and/ or abandoned in the well bore.
The cutting action is achieved by a combination of over-pull and the inward travel of a hardened Grapple. The Grapple cuts into the OD of the Coiled Tubing which is weakened to the point where the applied over-pull will sever the Coiled Tubing.
