This completely customizable tool is designed for use in deep water wells where under-reamed sections are required.
The D²® centralizer sub design allows the centralizer to pass through very tight annular clearances then open up in the under-reamed section providing adequate centralization for a superior cement job. The D²® centralizer sub design allows the centralizer to pass through very tight annular clearances then open up in the under-reamed section providing adequate centralization for a superior cement job. This centralizer is also well suited for casing reciprocation. Compression of the bow spring between the vanes ensures their protection when going through dog legs and tight clearances reducing permanent bow set. The bow strings are installed in such a manner that they are pulled into or out of the hole to reduce risk of bow deformation. The bow springs are able to compress down between the vanes making the D² more capable of running through tighter annular clearances. The solid vanes guarantee a minimum standoff when higher than expected side forces are encountered. The centralizer is well suited for flush joint application where the operator needs a peace of mind knowing that the integral centralizer sub will not slip on the casing string. The D² is particularly well suited for reciprocation although not recommended for rotation.
