Type 252/253 cementing plugs have a phenolic core and are designed to be drilled out with PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) drill bits. The Type 247/248 Non-Rotating Cementing Plugs are phenolic cored with integral teeth designed to prevent rotation of the plugs during drill out operations.

The bottom plug has a diaphragm rupture rating of 200-500 psi
