CoreVault® System
The CoreVault® System keeps rock samples in a sealed container, so 100% of the fluid in the core sample will be preserved for analysis.
Built into the next generation of the proven Xaminer™ Coring Tool, the CoreVault® system can capture up to ten samples in a sealed container – in one run.
The container prevents reservoir fluids from escaping during core retrieval and transport.
Challenge:
Returning samples to surface without losing fluids.
As traditional samples move from a high-pressure reservoir to the surface, hydrocarbons escape from the sample cores.
This can lead to uncertainty during analysis and inaccurate estimates of the type and volume of hydrocarbons in the reservoir, leading to uncertainty in economic evaluation.

RockStrongThe industry required a coring system that would help provide reliability in extreme conditions, thus the RockStrong™ coring system was designed specifically for high temperature, high pressure environments and hard, abrasive rock where vibration can cause tool damage and compromise coring performance. The system incorporates anti-jamming features with the industry‘s most robust coring system available. The RockStrong system is a departure from our time proven conventional adjustable swivel assemblies due to the demand requirements of coring applications getting deeper, hotter, and harder rock.
Xaminer™ Coring Tool
New sidewall coring tool provides larger cores and better samples
Halliburton recently introduced its latest sidewall coring tool, the HRSCT-B tool. This versatile, reliable coring tool is a new approach for acquiring multiple sidewall core samples. It is efficiently designed to provide a combination of high-speed bit rotation, torque and bit advancement for the best drilling performance.
The tool provides undamaged core samples that can easily be acquired in a single run for a range of testing and analysis. Core samples are 1.5 inches in diameter and up to 2.4 inches in length, giving clients a sample more than three times larger than other sidewall coring tools.
