Our team collaborates with yours to provide complete management of existing oil and gas assets, from day-to-day production operations, through field redevelopment planning and the delivery of workovers, new drills, and other services directed at enhanced recovery. Building on Halliburton industry-leading capabilities in low-permeability and unconventional reservoirs, we evaluate potential approaches for achieving enhanced productivity, help identify the optimal approach, and then deliver the associated services in the field.

Mature Field Management
Mature fields represent one of the largest remaining resources globally, but, in many cases, they have not received the attention and technology focus of operators that may have more attractive opportunities in their portfolios. Once mature fields’ concessions have expired, the international oil companies (IOCs) that developed and operated them often transfer the fields back to the management of national oil companies (NOCs).
Mature fields commonly benefit from an integrated management approach that involves updating the reservoir/network models, identifying quick wins, developing bypassed reserves, and adopting a more rigorous reservoir and production management process. Under a broad range of business models, our team collaborates with you to develop appropriate integrated management approaches for these mature fields.
Unconventional Field Development
The Halliburton Integrated Asset Management (IAM) group has been directly involved in the establishment of several of the major US unconventional plays, from the Bakken shale play in the early 2000s to the Wolfcamp Delaware shale play today. Having a service company with the breadth of experience and technology such as ours– commercially aligned with you and involved in all elements of these shale plays from subsurface insight through drilling, completion, and stimulation – has proven to be the fastest path from appraisal to commercial development. Our team works with you from the planning stage through delivery – sharing appropriate risks, establishing the commercial limits and “sweet spots” of the reservoir, identifying an optimal well and completion design, and ultimately participating in the efforts to minimize the field’s cost/BOE.
