IPM Sourcing
Increasing efficiency by managing logistics

Rigs can account for up to 35% of drilling costs and Halliburton has strong relationships with rig contractors and can help you get the most appropriate rig for your project.

However, there is other equipment and resources necessary to ensure the success of a drilling project. Halliburton Project Management can offer recommendations on other specialty items that might be required or help you secure other resources to complete your project.

Tangible Assets
Halliburton Project Management can source tangible equipment for projects (tubulars and wellheads) and link with your current supply chain to ensure you maintain maximum leverage with your supply base, or we can source independently based upon your preference. Halliburton’s line of premium casing attachments can be threaded and installed on casing as part of a complete package.

Onsite Services
Halliburton has contractual agreements in place with providers of critical onsite services such as tubular running services, camp/life support services, fishing/rental tool providers, security and site construction.

Procurement Services
Halliburton Project Management can provide procurement personnel to support specific projects and serve as the procurement department for a small operator/investor group.

Rig Sourcing

Managing drilling costs by improving rig capabilities

Drilling rigs account for 30 to 35% of project costs. Improving rig capabilities can substantially reduce risks and project costs. The more specialized the rig, the more difficult they are to find and the more lead time that is required. Our project managers know that and will determine the availability of required rigs.

Halliburton Project Management has extensive relationships and experience with rig contractors and can help you get the most appropriate rig type for your drilling project. We can source tangible equipment for projects (tubulars and wellheads) and link with your current supply chain to ensure you maintain maximum leverage with your supply base, or we can source independently based upon your preference.

With our large network of suppliers, Halliburton can also negotiate rig pricing and determine deliverability factors such as the coordination of timelines and mobilization and /demobilization costs.

Halliburton and Trinidad Drilling formed a joint venture to deliver top-tier rigs that will deliver wells faster and enhance crew safety. Trinidad’s advanced manufacturing facilities and high-performance drilling services combined with Halliburton’s leading-edge technology and project management capabilities will provide a new level of integration and performance rarely seen on land rigs.

Halliburton Project Management has the support of Halliburton’s Logistics Department for rig moves required for integrated project management projects globally, from the initial move into country through infield moves and demobilization.

In addition, Halliburton can perform rig inspections through third-party inspections vendors.
